Langport is blessed with being surrounded by the attractive countryside of South Somerset and there are a number of local public footpaths and bridleways that offer countryside walks for all ages and abilities.

Langport also lies on the 50 mile long "River Parrett Trail" which follows the River Parrett from its source in the Dorset hills to its mouth in the Bristol Channel.
