Walking is an excellent way to get around and is a great way to fit regular exercise into your daily routine. It's also a great way to explore you local area without the need for a car.

Walking

The Town Centre is to the south of your home, within around a 10 minute walk (800m) -the route to the town centre is via The Avenue, Moor Close and North Street. Within the town centre there are a number of facilities, including a Tesco Supermarket and local retail shops and services.

Huish Episcopi Primary School is within an easy 8 minute walk (600m) of your home. This can be reached via the same route as to the town centre. In addition to the primary school, Huish Episcopi Academy (the local secondary school) is within around a 15 minute walk of your home.

Langport is surrounded by the attractive countryside of South Somerset and there are a number of local public footpaths and bridleways which can be accessed from your home that offer countryside walks for all ages and abilities.

Langport also lies on the 50 mile long "River Parrett Trail" which follows the River Parrett from its source in the Dorset hills to its mouth in the Bristol Channel through small local villages and open countryside.
