Cycling

Langport is a gateway to the Somerset Levels. The Levels area is a great place to cycle as they are relatively flat and many of the lanes are quieter and have less traffic than the main routes through the area.

Langport lies on National Cycle Route number 339 which links Langport to Bridgwater, Ilminster and Chard (a total length of 33 miles from Bridgwater to Chard). NCN 339 passes Langport to the south west of the town and can be reached via North Street and Bow Street. From your home, NCN 339 is around a 6 minute cycle or 1.7km away. In addition to NCN 339, the Sustrans: South Somerset Cycleway can be accessed from the centre of Langport. The South Somerset Cycleway is a 120km loop between Langport, Yeovil, Ilminster and other villages within South Somerset.
